Experience an exciting winter adventure in Ushuaia by hiking through the Martial Glacier, one of the key glaciers in Tierra del Fuego, for an unforgettable experience!
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel and head to the Martial Glacier Ski Center, where our extraordinary trekking adventure begins. Get ready to explore one of Ushuaia's key glaciers!
We'll start our first stretch on board a chairlift to ascend comfortably as we enjoy the aerial panoramic views of the city, the surrounding valleys, and the Beagle Channel. Once at the upper part of the chairlift, we'll start our hike.
We'll walk on the mountain trails, crossing the native Patagonian forest and slowly reaching areas of higher altitude where the vegetation is lower and the terrain more open. During the hike, the guide will tell us about the local geology and the glacial landscape of Tierra del Fuego, fostering respect and preservation of these fragile ecosystems.
Our hike will continue toward the upper area of the Martial Glacier until we reach a privileged viewpoint where we'll admire the spectacular panoramic views of the glacier, the mountains of Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia, and Beagle Channel. At this spot, we'll stop so you can enjoy a homemade lunch and hot drink in nature. During the activity, we'll use reusable containers and materials to reduce our carbon footprint and avoid the use of disposable plastic.
After our break, we'll start descending the mountain trail toward the chairlift, and then we'll head to the base of Cerro Martial, where our vehicle awaits to take us back to your hotel in Ushuaia after 5 hours.
